4.48.010 - Arrests.

The Health Officer and his delegated subordinates, pursuant to the provisions of section 836.5 of the Penal Code of the State of California, may arrest a Person without a warrant whenever he has reasonable cause to believe that the Person has committed a misdemeanor in his presence which is a violation of any ordinance, statute, or law, enforcement of which is under the administration of the Health Officer. Upon making such an arrest, the Health Officer or his delegated subordinate may release the Person arrested pursuant to section 853.6 of the Penal Code of the State of California, the provisions of which are hereby adopted by reference as part of this section.
