13.48.010 - Naming streets.¶
The streets hereinafter described shall be renamed and shall hereafter be known and designated as follows:
Adams Street, as shown on "Map of Woodacre" as recorded in the office of the county recorder, county of Marin, in volume 4 of maps on page 50, is renamed "Taylor Avenue."
Aspen Way, as shown on "Map of Woodacre" is renamed "Central Avenue."
Glen Road, as shown on "Map of Woodacre," is renamed "Park Street."
Iron Spring Park, as shown on "Map Number Two of Woodacre" in volume 4 of maps on page 56, is renamed "Park Street."
Mailliard Oval, Hermosa Way, and that portion of Garden Way between Railroad Avenue and Hermosa Way, each as shown on "Map of Woodacre," are renamed "Carson Road."
That portion of Garden Way between Hermosa Way and Aspen Way, and that portion of Redwood Drive between Aspen Way and Castle Rock Avenue, each as shown on "Map of Woodacre," are renamed "Castle Rock Avenue."
That portion of Redwood Drive between Castle Rock Avenue and Upland Curve as shown on "Map of Woodacre," is renamed "Crescent Drive."
Upland Curve, as shown on "Map of Woodacre," is renamed "Redwood Drive."
That portion of Laurel Avenue between Upland Curve and Buckeye Drive as shown on "Map Number Four of Woodacre" in volume 4 at page 68, is renamed "Redwood Drive."
That portion of Buckeye Drive between Laurel Avenue and Summit Drive as shown on "Map Number Six of Woodacre" in volume 6 on page 81, are renamed "Buckeye Circle."
Those portions of Buckeye Drive and Summit Drive which form a circle as shown on "Map Number Six of Woodacre" in volume 6 on page 81, are renamed "Buckeye Circle."
That portion of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard being by-passed by the new highway route is renamed "San Geronimo Valley Drive."

13.48.020 - Adoption of official house numbering map.¶
That certain map entitled "A Portion of the Streets and Highways Numbering Map for Woodacre," said map being filed in the office of the planning commission is hereby adopted by the county of Marin, both for house numbering purposes and for the purpose of naming and designating public streets in said area, provided, however, that the adoption of said map is not intended to act as an acceptance of streets whose dedication is not otherwise accepted, and, as to such streets said official map is to be used for identification only.

13.48.030 - Fixing numbers.¶
All structures, abutting on any public street, avenue, drive, road, place of land in Woodacre shall be given and marked with an official number. The numbers shall be in accordance with that certain map entitled "A Portion of the Streets and Highways Plan, Marin County, California, known as Official House Numbering Map of Woodacre" as hereinbefore adopted. Numbers shall proceed from the small number as shown upon said map to the larger number. The even numbers shall be given to and placed upon structures fronting on the right side of such streets. Beginning at the lowest even number and proceeding towards the highest even number, one such even number shall be given to each fifty feet of property frontage on the right side of the street. Beginning at the lowest odd number and proceeding towards the highest odd number, one such odd number shall be given to each fifty feet of property frontage on the left side of the street. Numbers may be assigned on the basis of one per lot where the lots are subdivided with widths of less than fifty feet.
In case of doubt, or where a question arises as to the proper number to be assigned to any structure, the planning commission or an officer or employee of the commission, designated for such purpose shall decide the question and fix the number of such structures.

13.48.040 - Numbers required.¶
The number plate placed upon any building shall be metal or wood, or the number may be painted on the front of the building, door, post, transom or other place. The number shall be at least three inches in height and shall be so placed as to be easily seen from the street.

13.48.050 - Duty to affix numbers.¶
If the owner or lessee of any building fails, refuses or neglects to place the number, or to replace it when necessary, the planning commission or an officer or employee of the commission, designated for such purpose, and upon order of this board of supervisors, shall cause notice to be personally served on such owner or lessee or mailed by registered mail to his last known address, ordering him to place or replace the number. Such owner or lessee shall comply with such notice within ten days from the date of service.

13.48.060 - Severability.¶
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this chapter is for any reason held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this chapter. The board of supervisors declares that it would have passed this chapter and each section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared invalid.
