13.06.010 - Excessively long vehicles prohibited on specified county roads.¶
Pursuant to the power provided Marin County under California Vehicle Code Section 21101(c), motor vehicles in excess of thirty or thirty-six feet (measured bumper to bumper) are prohibited from traveling over such streets (as defined in California Vehicle Code Section 590) and highways (as defined in California Vehicle Code Section 360) that the board of supervisors may specify by resolution.

13.06.020 - Tour buses prohibited on specified county roads.¶
Pursuant to the power provided Marin County under Vehicle Code Section 21101(c), tour buses (as defined by Vehicle Code Section 612) are prohibited from traveling over such streets (as defined in California Vehicle Code Section 590) and highways (as defined in California Vehicle Code Section 360) that the board of supervisors may specify by resolution to the extent that such streets and highways are situated within unincorporated Marin County.

13.06.030 - Signs.¶
The prohibitions set forth in this chapter shall not be enforceable unless signs have been placed alongside the street or highway so as to warn drivers of the prohibitions.

13.06.040 - Penalty for violations.¶
Any person or company, including a corporation or limited liability company (LLC), violating any section of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction and shall be fined in an amount that the board of supervisors may specify by resolution. To the maximum extent allowed under state law, any peace officer (as defined by California Penal Code Section 830 et seq.) in good standing that has completed Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) may enforce this chapter.

13.06.050 - Special permits.¶
The director of public works of the county is hereby authorized, at his or her discretion, upon application in writing, and if good cause appears, to issue a special permit in writing authorizing the applicant to operate or move a vehicle or combination of vehicles or special mobile equipment of a length that would otherwise be in violation of Section 13.06.010 or of a type that would otherwise be in violation of Section 13.06.020.

13.06.060 - Inapplicability.¶
To the extent that any provision of this chapter conflicts with state or federal law, either on its face or as applied, it shall be inapplicable to the extent of such conflict. The board hereby affirms that it intends that all remaining provisions not in conflict remain in effect.
