Floor furnaces shall be listed in accordance with ANSI Z21.86/CSA 2.32. [NFPA 54:10.10.1]

are observed. Horizontal furnaces shall be permitted to be installed in an attic, furred, or under-floor space, provided the required listings and furnace and duct clearances are observed.
