2.56.010 - Establishment.

The office of the county health officer is hereby established, pursuant to California Health and Safety Code §§450 et seq.

2.56.020 - Appointment and compensation.

The board of supervisors shall appoint, and determine the compensation of, the health officer. The health officer shall hold office at the pleasure of the board of supervisors.

2.56.030 - Duties in general.

The health officer shall carry out the duties prescribed for his or her office by state laws and regulations, county ordinances and resolutions and orders and directions of the board of supervisors.

2.56.040 - Duties to collect fees.

In addition to any other duties prescribed by law, the health officer shall provide for the collection of and account for the proper distribution of the following fees for services, inspections or permits, as set out in Sections 2.56.010 and 2.56.050 through 2.56.080. The following schedules are not intended to exclude the collections of any other applicable fees.
