506.1.1 Edificios de área ilimitada. Los edificios de área ilimitada se diseñarán de acuerdo con la Sección 507.

506.1.2 Disposiciones especiales. Las disposiciones especiales de la Sección 510 permiten el uso de condiciones especiales que están exentas de, o modifican, los requisitos específicos de este capítulo respecto a las áreas permitidas de los edificios basadas en la clasificación de ocupación y tipo de construcción, siempre que la condición especial cumpla con las disposiciones especificadas en la Sección 510.

j. In other than Group A, E, H, I, L and R occupancies, high-rise buildings, and other applications listed in Section 1.11 regulated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the S increases
for height and stories in Tables 504.3 and 504.4 are permitted in addition to the S area increase in accordance with Table 506.2.
k. For Group R-2 buildings of Type VA construction equipped throughout with an approved automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1, S area increase is permit-
ted in addition to the height and story increase provided the height shall not exceed 60 feet and 4 stories.
l. The NS value is only for use in evaluation of single-occupancy, multistory buildings per the formula in Section 506.2.3.

506.2.2.1 Ocupaciones mixtas de Grupo H-2 o H-3. **506.3 Aumento por frente.** Todo edificio deberá colindar o tener acceso a una vía…

506.3.1 Porcentaje mínimo del perímetro. Para calificar para un aumento del factor de área basado en el frente, un edificio deberá tener no menos del 25 por ciento de su perímetro sobre una vía pública o espacio abierto. Dicho espacio abierto deberá estar ya sea en el mismo lote o dedicado para uso público y deberá tener acceso desde una calle o carril de incendio aprobado.

506.3.2 Distancia mínima del frente. Para calificar para un aumento del factor de área basado en el frente, la vía pública o espacio abierto adyacente al perímetro del edificio deberá tener una distancia mínima de 20 pies (6096 mm) medida en ángulo recto desde la fachada del edificio hasta cualquiera de los siguientes:

  1. La línea interior del lote más cercana.

  2. El ancho total de una calle, callejón o vía pública.

  3. La cara exterior de un edificio adyacente en la misma propiedad.

El aumento por frente se basará en la vía pública o espacio abierto más pequeño que sea de 20 pies (6096 mm) o más, y el porcentaje del perímetro del edificio que tenga una vía pública o espacio abierto mínimo de 20 pies (6096 mm).

506.3.3 Cantidad del aumento. El aumento del factor de área basado en el frente se determinará de acuerdo con la Tabla 506.3.3.

506.3.3.1 Edificios de la Sección 507. Cuando un edificio cumpla con los requisitos de la Sección 507, según corresponda, excepto por el cumplimiento del requisito mínimo de vía pública o patio de 60 pies (18 288 mm), el aumento del factor de área basado en el frente se determinará de acuerdo con la Tabla 506.3.3.1.
