Chapter 6.16 — PROHIBITION OF MINING

6.16.010 - Mining, milling prohibited.¶

No person, firm, corporation or association shall conduct any mining or milling operations, prospecting or exploring for or developing any minerals or mineral ores upon, through, or within one hundred feet of the surface of the land within any portion of the city, excepting that portion of the city which lies easterly of Sutter Hill County Road and southerly of Lots 6, 7 and 8 of Block 20, and Lot 1 of Block 20 1/2 of the townsite of Sutter Creek as the lots and blocks are laid down and designated in the official map of said townsite in the office of the county recorder.
