2.10.010 - Election.

The position of city treasurer shall be voted upon the date of the November 1994 statewide general election and thereafter every four years.

2.10.020 - Duties.

A.

The city treasurer shall attend the second meeting of the city council every month unless excused therefrom.

B.

The city treasurer shall submit a written report and accounting of all bank deposits and disbursements. This report will routinely be presented at the second council meeting of every month.

C.

The city treasurer shall perform such additional duties as may be prescribed by the council or state codes.

2.10.030 - Deputies.

Deputy treasurers may be appointed by the city treasurer upon the approval of the city council and will serve under the direction of the city treasurer when performing treasurer duties.

2.10.040 - Compensation.

The city treasurer will receive monthly compensation fixed by ordinance or resolution.

2.10.050 - Bond.

The city will execute a bond for the city treasurer upon assumption of office. The bond will be in conformity with bonds of public officers and provisions of the Government Code.
