Chapter 11.04 — PEDESTRIANS

11.04.010 - Interfering with traffic prohibited—Exceptions.¶
No person shall stand in any roadway, street, or in a crosswalk if such action interferes with the lawful movement of traffic. No person shall sit or lie in any roadway. This section shall not apply to any public officer or employee of the city, other constituted public authorities, or the employee of a public utility when said person or persons are necessarily upon the street in line of duty.

11.04.020 - Walking on streets prohibited—Exceptions.¶
No person shall walk upon any portion of any street used for vehicular traffic except when no sidewalk is provided for the use of pedestrians, or when no portion of the street is designated or delineated by markings for pedestrian use.

11.04.030 - Walking on street—Procedure.¶
When no sidewalk or portion of a street is designated or delineated for pedestrian use, pedestrians shall walk upon that portion of said street closest to the left edge of the roadway, and pedestrians shall not walk more than two abreast, and shall walk within the left half of the street, determined by the direction the pedestrian is proceeding.

11.04.040 - Pedestrian defined.¶
"Pedestrian," for the purpose of this chapter, means a person afoot.

11.04.050 - Violation—Penalty.¶
The penalty for violations of this chapter is as prescribed in section 11.02.010 of this title.
