2.48.010 - General municipal election—Date held.

The legislature of the State of California has, pursuant to State of California Government Code Section 36503.5, provided that city councils may enact ordinances requiring their general municipal election to be held on the same day as the statewide direct primary election, the day of the state-wide general election, or on the day of the school district election, as set forth in Section 2602 of the Elections Code, and the city council of the city does ordain that general municipal elections of the city shall hereinafter be held on the same day, from year to year, as the state-wide general election is held pursuant to applicable laws of the state.
