§ 2.28.010. Established.

§ 2.28.020. Composition.

The library board shall consist of five members appointed by the city council for overlapping four-year terms. No member shall serve more than two consecutive terms. (Prior code § 13.2; Ord. 1333 § 3, 1976; Ord. 6062 § 26, 2019)

§ 2.28.030. Responsibilities.

  • A. Participates in strategic and long-range planning for the city library system.

  • B. Serves as community liaisons/advocates for library programs and services.

  • C. Reviews policies and procedures as presented by city library staff.

  • D. Represents the library at city-sponsored functions.

  • E. Advises city council on important library efforts.
