§ 2.24.010. Established.

There is established a transportation commission of the city. (Prior code § 2.61; Ord. 6062 § 17, 2019)

§ 2.24.020. Composition.

The transportation commission shall consist of seven members appointed by the city council for overlapping fouryear terms. No member shall serve more than two consecutive terms. (Prior code § 2.62; Ord. 1333 § 2, 1976; Ord. 4528 § 2, 2007; Ord. 6062 § 18, 2019)

§ 2.24.030. Responsibilities.

  • A. Reviews and makes recommendations to the city council on the general plan circulation element; the bicycle master plan, pedestrian master plan, short and long range transit plan, the capital improvement project plan; specific plan circulation plans; regional transportation plans, the public transit system; bikeway, pedestrian, transit, and roadway capital improvement projects and transportation systems management.

  • B. Reviews and approves transportation systems management plans.

  • C. Provides representation of the city at various conferences and before other agencies, as needed.

  • D. Provides a forum for public involvement for the items listed above. (Prior code § 2.63; Ord. 3335 § 2, 1999; Ord. 6062 § 20, 2019)
