§ 2.28.010. Established.

There is established a library board of the city.

§ 2.28.020. Composition.

The library board shall consist of five members appointed by the city council for overlapping four-year terms. No member shall serve more than two consecutive terms.

§ 2.28.030. Responsibilities.

A. Participates in strategic and long-range planning for the city library system.

B. Serves as community liaisons/advocates for library programs and services.

C. Reviews policies and procedures as presented by city library staff.

D. Represents the library at city-sponsored functions.

E. Advises city council on important library efforts.
