15-94 Meeting 15-95 Public Hearings

15-94 Meeting

  1. Meetings of the personnel commission may be called at any time by the chairman or by any three members, upon giving reasonable notice to the other members, or by the city manager acting as personnel director, after reasonable written notice to all members of the commission. Meetings shall be held at City Hall.
  2. The personnel commission shall adopt rules which shall govern its proceedings and shall keep minutes of all its proceedings. (Res. No. 7-7-87-2, Rule XV, (part).)

15-95 Public Hearings

Meetings of the personnel commission shall be conducted in accordance with state law and shall be open and public. Provided, however, that hearings relating to the appointment, employment or dismissal of a city employee or a complaint or charge brought against an officer or employee of the city shall be held in private unless such officer or employee requests a public hearing. The commission may exclude from any such public or private meeting, during the examination of witnesses, any or all other witnesses in the matter being investigated by the body. The meeting need not be conducted according to technical rules relating to evidence and witnesses. (Res. No. 7-7-87-2, Rule XV, (part).)
