15-39 Fair Employment Practices
The city’s technique (or procedure) used in recruitment and selection of employees is intended to measure the job-related qualifications of applicants only. The city shall not use a recruitment or selection technique which, in the opinion of the city manager or personnel director , is not justifiably linked to successful job performance. (Res. No. 7-7-87-2, Rule II, (part).)
15-40 Discrimination Prohibited
No employees or applicant shall be employed, promoted, demoted, suspended or discharged or in any way favored or discriminated against because of political opinions or affiliations, or because of race, religion, sex, age, color, creed, national origin, ancestry, physical disability or martial status. (Res. No. 7-7-87-2, Rule II, (part).)
