2.50.010 - Recognition.

There is in the county a redevelopment department, hereafter in this chapter referred to as the department.

2.50.020 - Executive officer.

The executive officer of the department is the executive director.

2.50.030 - General powers and duties.

The redevelopment department shall provide services and personnel as approved by the board of supervisors for the redevelopment agency of Alameda County. The county may contract with the redevelopment agency of Alameda County to provide funds, as well as services and personnel, for execution of projects approved by said agency, pursuant to Part I, Division 24 of the Health and Safety Code.

2.50.040 - Authorization to continue redevelopment program.

To the extent required by law to maintain the existence and powers of the agency under the Redevelopment Law (including the Redevelopment Restructuring Acts), pursuant to Section 34193(a) of the Redevelopment Law, the county, on behalf of itself and the redevelopment agency, elects to and will comply with the provisions of Part 1.9 of the Redevelopment Law, including the making of the community remittance payments called for in Section 34194 of the Redevelopment Law (the remittance payments), and whereby the agency will no longer be subject to dissolution or the other prohibitions and limitations of Parts 1.8 and 1.85 of the Redevelopment Law.
