Alameda County Municipal Code Ch. 2.20 Cooperative

2.20.010 - Recognition.¶

There is in the county a cooperative extension department, hereafter in this chapter referred to as the department.

2.20.020 - Executive officer.¶

The executive officer of the department is the director of cooperative extension services, hereafter in this chapter referred to as the director.

2.20.030 - General powers and duties.¶

The director shall perform duties relating to cooperative educational work in agriculture and home economics prescribed by state law and ordinances not inconsistent therewith, which duties shall include, but not by way of limitation:

A. Offer information relative to the plant and animal sciences, agricultural production, processing, marketing, and landscape management to the public, the agricultural industry, and the farmer;

B. Provide the people of the county with information in the field of family and consumer sciences;

C. Administer the 4-H Club program.
