Sec. 1-2-172. - Office established.¶
Pursuant to the authority vested in the Board of Supervisors by Section 8000 of the Welfare and Institutions Code of the State of California, there is hereby established the office of Public Guardian in the County of Orange.

Sec. 1-2-173. - Powers.¶
The Public Guardian shall have and exercise all the powers pertaining to said office of Public Guardian as provided by the laws of the State of California and the ordinances and resolutions of the Board of Supervisors.

Editor's note— Ord. No. 11-011, § 1, adopted March 22, 2011, amended the Code by repealing former §§ 1-2-174 and 1-2-175 in their entirety. Former § 1-2-174 pertained to state law regarding ex officio public guardians. Former § 1-2-175 pertained to the Public Administrator acting as public guardian. Both sections derived from Ord. No. 07-008, adopted May 22, 2007.
