Sec. 5.440. Creation and Administration of the Fund.¶
(a) There is hereby created within the Treasury of the City of Los Angeles a Fund, which is known as the “ Project Hope in Youth ,” referred to in this chapter as the “Fund”.
(b) The Fund shall be administered by the Los Angeles Housing Department or as directed by the City Council.

Sec. 5.441. Purposes of the Fund.¶
The Fund is intended to be a depository for the financing of the City’s participation in the Project Hope in Youth program to be administered by the Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc.

Sec. 5.442. Interest Bearing Fund.¶
The Fund shall be interest bearing, and interest shall accrue to the General Fund.

Sec. 5.443. Disbursement of the Funds.¶
Funds shall be disbursed to Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. by the Office of the Controller based upon the requests for disbursement from the Los Angeles Housing Department after that Department has been notified by the County of Los Angeles that the County has appropriated funds and executed a contract for Project Hope in Youth.
