Sec. 5.524. Creation and Administration of the Fund.¶
(a) There is hereby created in the Treasury of the City of Los Angeles a special fund to be known as the “City Health Commission Trust Fund” (Fund).
(b) The purpose in establishing the Fund is for the receipt, retention and disbursement of any monetary gift, contribution, bequest or grant. Any offer of a gift, contribution, bequest or grant to the City for the purposes set forth in this chapter shall be submitted to the City Council for acceptance or rejection.
(c) The monies in the Fund shall be used for the exclusive purpose of offsetting the City’s administrative and overhead costs associated with the operations of the City Health Commission, including, but not limited to, budgetary salaries for staff, offices, furnishings supplies and equipment, as well as costs and expenses.
(d) All interest and other earnings attributable to monies in the Fund shall be credited to the Fund and shall be devoted to the purposes of the Fund.
(e) The Fund shall be administered by the City Clerk. Funds not disbursed in any fiscal year shall remain in the Fund and shall be devoted to the purposes of the Fund.
