2.54.010 - Established.¶
A municipal hospital is declared to be established in the city of Calexico, county of Imperial, state of California.

2.54.020 - Construction authorization.¶
The city council is authorized to construct, equip and maintain the municipal hospital established by Section 2.54.010.
In connection therewith, the council is given power to acquire a site therefor, and to construct and fully equip said municipal hospital.

2.54.030 - Expenditures.¶
The council is authorized to use and expend all, or any portion of, moneys in the capital outlays fund of the city, or any other funds available, for the purposes of acquiring of sites, materials, equipment and labor necessary for the complete construction of the municipal hospital.

2.54.040 - Donations.¶
The council is further authorized and empowered to accept and make use of any and all donations or subscriptions which may or might be contributed to the construction, equipment, operation or maintenance of the municipal hospital. Any and all such donations and/or subscriptions made for such purposes shall be made without exception or reimbursement or recompense, and without payment of any interest to the donors or subscribers thereof.

2.54.050 - Operation and maintenance—Rules and regulations.¶
The council is authorized, by resolution, to prescribe rules and regulations for the conduct, operation and maintenance of the municipal hospital.

2.54.060 - Operation and maintenance—By city or tenant.¶
A. In connection with the authority designated in Section 2.54.050, the council is authorized to provide for the operation, maintenance and conduct of said municipal hospital, either by the city or by and through a tenant under lease of all of the facilities thereof.
B. Any such lease entered into shall be for a period not in excess of ten years.
