8.04.010 - Adopted.¶
The Public Health Code (Ordinance No. 7583) of the county, reprinted December, 1997, including rules and regulations of the county health department, as altered and amended and shown in the Public Health Code, is adopted as the Public Health Code of the city for the protection of the public health in the city. In adopting the Los Angeles County Code, Title 11, Division 1, the city adopts by reference all amendments adopted by the Los Angeles County board of supervisors which pertain to the Public Health Code, subject to certain amendments, additions and deletions as may hereinafter be provided. Reference is made to the Public Health Code as amended and filed with the city clerk as if set forth in full in this chapter, and all of the provisions thereof as amended and now shown in the Public Health Code are adopted and made a part of this chapter. Copies of the Public Health Code as amended on file with the city clerk shall
be maintained by the city clerk and shall be made available for public use or inspection by the city clerk but they shall not be taken from city hall.

8.04.020 - Public Health Code—Violation, penalty.¶
Section 11.11.150 of the Los Angeles County Public Health Code is adopted as follows and as amended in the future by the Los Angeles County board of supervisors:
Section 11.11.150 Violation. Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, violation of this chapter is punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment in the County jail for not more than six months, or both. Each day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this chapter is committed, continued or permitted makes such violation a separate offense.

8.04.030 - Consumer Protection Code—Adoption and amendments.¶
Sections 8.04.142, 8.04.165, 8.04.200, 8.04.225, 8.04.275, 8.04.306, 8.04.311, 8.04.337, 8.04.403, 8.04.405, 8.04.595, 8.04.752, 8.04.755, and 8.04.943 of the Consumer Protection Code (Ordinance Nos. 97-0071 and 2010-0045) of the county, including the rules and regulations of the county, as altered and amended and shown in the aforementioned sections of the Consumer Protection Code, are adopted by reference for the protection of the public health in the city. In adopting portions of the Los Angeles County Code, Title 8, Chapter 4, the city adopts by reference all amendments adopted by the Los Angeles County board of supervisors which pertain to those sections of the Consumer Protection Code, subject to certain amendments, additions and deletions as may hereinafter be provided. Reference is made to sections of the Consumer Protection Code as amended and filed with the city clerk as if set forth in full in this chapter, and all of the aforementioned provisions thereof as amended and now shown in the Consumer Protection Code are adopted and made a part of this chapter. Copies of the Consumer Protection Code as amended on file with the city clerk shall be maintained by the city clerk and shall be made available for public use or inspection by the city clerk but they shall not be taken from city hall.

Editor's note— Ord. No. 3064, § 3, adopted March 28, 2017, repealed the former § 8.04.030 and enacted a new section as set out herein. The former § 8.04.030 pertained to similar subject matter and derived from Ord. 2735, § 3, adopted in 1998.
8.04.040 - Consumer Protection Code—Violation, penalty.¶
Section 8.04.930 of the Los Angeles County Consumer Protection Code is adopted as follows and as amended in the future by the Los Angeles County board of supervisors:
8.04.930 Violation—Penalty. Violation of this chapter is punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment in the County jail for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this chapter is committed, continued or permitted, makes such violation a separate offense.
