5.52.010 - No peddlers sign.¶
No peddler selling or pretending to sell goods, wares or merchandise of any kind or character, or any article, material or substance, shall ring the bell, or knock on the door of any residence, dwelling, flat or apartment whereon a sign bearing the words "No Peddlers" is painted or affixed or exposed to public view.

5.52.020 - No solicitors sign.¶
No person soliciting orders for goods, wares or merchandise of any kind or character, or any article, material or substance, shall ring the bell or knock on the door of any residence, dwelling, flat or apartment whereon a sign bearing the words "No Solicitors" is painted or affixed or exposed to public view.

5.52.030 - Misrepresenting purpose of call.¶
No peddler or solicitor seeking permission to call for the purpose of selling or taking orders, or attempting to sell or take orders for goods, wares or merchandise, or any article, material or substance at any house, flat or apartment where a sign bearing the words "No Peddlers" is painted or affixed, or exposed to public view, shall misrepresent, conceal or fail to disclose the purpose for which he/she is seeking permission to call at the house, flat or apartment.

5.52.040 - Exemption of invited call.¶
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any peddler or solicitor who knocks at any door or rings any bell at the invitation or with the consent of some member of the household at which he/she so applies for admission.

5.52.050 - Hours of operation.¶
No person shall, between the hours of eight p.m. and eight a.m. of the following day, sell or offer to sell, demonstrate or take orders for the sale of goods, wares or any form of merchandise, by entering upon the premises of another for such purpose. The provisions of this section shall not apply to peddlers or solicitors who have previously been invited or requested to appear at such premises by the owner or lawful occupant thereof.

5.52.060 - Non-commercial handbill distribution regulations.¶
The following regulations shall apply to the distribution and circulation of handbills within the city. Failure to comply with the regulations contained in this section and in this chapter shall be deemed to be a misdemeanor punishable in the manner prescribed in chapter 1.08 of this code. The regulations are as follows:
A.
Consent of Distribution. No person shall circulate, distribute or cause to be circulated or distributed any non-commercial handbill on any property within the city without the consent of the owner or occupant of the property. For the purpose of this section the consent of the owner or occupant shall be presumed unless the owner or occupant has conspicuously posted upon the property a sign or other device which contains language which prohibits handbill delivery in or upon the premises; and
B.
Distribution on Motor Vehicles. No person shall circulate or distribute, or cause to be circulated or distributed, any non- commercial handbill by placing it in or upon any motor vehicle, as that phrase is defined in the vehicle code of the state, which is parked upon any public street, alley or public parking area, or upon any such vehicle parked upon any private property; and
C.
Distribution on Private Property. The delivery of non-commercial handbills on private property shall be accomplished by personally delivering them to the person occupying the residential property, or by placing them upon the property securely, to insure that they will not be blown from the property onto other lots or public places;
D.
Hours of Distribution. No person shall distribute or circulate, or cause to be circulated or distributed, any non- commercial handbill between the hours of eight p.m. of any day and eight a.m. of the following day.
