5-13-1: SHORT TITLE:¶
This chapter may be cited as the TAFT RESIDENTIAL CODE. (Ord. 826-17, 6-20-2017)
5-13-2: APPLICATION OF CODE:¶
The Taft Residential Code shall apply to new construction, relocated buildings and to any alterations, repairs or reconstruction of one and two family dwellings and town houses less than three (3) stories above grade in the incorporated territory of the City of Taft. (Ord. 826-17, 6-20-2017)
5-13-3: ADOPTION OF CODE:¶
These regulations known as the “California Residential Code,” 2025 Edition, California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 2.5, which incorporate by adoption the 2024 International Residential Code, with necessary California amendments, including all appendices, as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted and made part of this Chapter by reference with the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein.
