3.12.010 - Road improvement fund defined.

"Special road improvement fund" as used herein shall mean that certain fund established by the county as required by Section 1622 of the Streets and Highways Code of California.

3.12.020 - Purpose.

The board of supervisors may expend any portion of the funds in the special road improvement fund for the acquisition, construction, maintenance, improvement and repair of streets, bridges and culverts within those cities in Marin County, the governing boards of which by ordinance or resolution authorize such work of acquisition of any real property or interest therein or rights-of-way, construction, maintenance, improvement or repair pursuant to Section 1623 of the Streets and Highways Code of California.

3.12.030 - Conditions of allocations.

The basis and conditions upon which allocations will be made from the special road improvement fund for expenditures for the purposes set forth above are as follows:

(a) Allocations will be made only in those cases where the board of supervisors find that improvement of all or a portion of a city street is incidental and necessary to the completion of an approved county project.

(b) The allocation of such funds shall not, in any way, limit the police power of the city, or relieve the city of any responsibility with respect to any city street, bridge, culvert, or portion thereof, which may be improved through the use of funds allocated pursuant to this chapter.

3.12.040 - Severability.

If any provision of this chapter or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, no other provision of this chapter shall be affected thereby.
