2.30.010 - Officers and employees—Performance bonds.¶
The city clerk, city treasurer and other officers and employees of the city, as shall be designated by resolution, shall, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, cause to be delivered to the city a bond as required by resolution of the city council. Such bond may be in the form of a master bond which shall provide coverage on more than one officer, employee or agent and as permitted by California Government Code Section 1481, and shall be conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of the respective officers and employees. Such bond shall have as surety thereon a responsible corporate bonding company duly authorized and qualified to do business as such in the state.
