2.09.010 - Date of general municipal election.

The date of the general municipal election of the city shall be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each even numbered year (consolidation with the Statewide General Election).

2.09.200 - Rebuttal arguments re: city initiative measures.

If the city council submits an argument against the measure, it shall immediately send copies of the argument to the persons filing the initiative petition. The persons filing the initiative petition may prepare and submit a rebuttal argument not exceeding two hundred fifty words. The city council may prepare and submit a rebuttal to the argument in favor of the measure not exceeding two hundred fifty words. The rebuttal arguments shall be filed with the city clerk not more than ten days after the final date for filing direct arguments. Rebuttal arguments shall be printed in the same manner as the direct arguments. Each rebuttal argument shall immediately follow the direct argument which it seeks to rebut.
