14-17.1001 Number of off-street parking spaces required.

The number of off-street parking spaces required for each of the following uses shall be as follows:

GLU
(a) 60 Finance, insurance, and real estate: (1) Finance, savings and loan institutions, insurance, real estate, business, professional and other offices (except those otherwise designated in this section): 0 to 20,000 square feet floor area, 1 space for each 300 square feet floor area, plus 1 space for each 500 square feet floor area in excess of 20,000 square feet (2) Banks (commercial): 1 space for each 200 square feet
(b) 61 Personal services: (1) Self-service laundry and dry cleaning, 1 space for each 3 machines (2) Dry cleaning, pickup: 3 spaces, plus 1 space for each 500 square feet over 1,000 (3) Mortuaries, funeral homes, and cemeteries: 1 space for each 5 seats in the 2 largest chapels (4) All other: same as subsection (a) of this section
(c) 62 Business and office services: (1) Beauty and culture schools: 3 spaces, plus 1 space for each operator station (2) All other: same as subsection (a) of this section
(d) 63 Automotive repair, services, and garages: 5 spaces, plus 1 space for each 800 square feet floor area in excess of 3,000 square feet
(e) 64 Repair services, miscellaneous: 5 spaces, plus 1 space for each 800 square feet floor area in excess of 3,000 square feet
(f) 65 Commercial amusement and recreational services: (1) Theaters, auditoriums, and sports arenas or stadia, including school auditoriums and stadia: for all fixed seating capacity, 1 space for each 4 seats; theaters in shopping centers, 1 space per 8.5 seats (2) Dance halls and exhibition halls without fixed seats for floor area devoted to public assembly or activity: 1 space for each 100 square feet floor area devoted to the principal activity (3) Dance schools other than ballrooms: 5 spaces, plus 1 space for each 150 square feet of dance floor area over 500 square feet (4) Billiard and poolrooms: 2 spaces per table (5) Bowling alleys: 3 spaces for each alley, except where in a shopping center which includes a supermarket, 2 spaces per alley (6) Golf courses: 4 spaces per hole, plus the required spaces for restaurants and cocktail lounges (7) Health spas and gymnasia: 10 spaces, plus 1 space for each 200 square feet floor area in excess of 1,000 square feet, excluding outdoor swimming pools which require parking per subsection (f)(8) of this section
(8) Public swimming pools and private swim clubs, 20 spaces per pool (not including wading pools or whirlpool baths), plus 1 space for each 200 square feet of cabana floor area in excess of 1,000 square feet, except where membership is restricted to the immediate neighborhood, a minimum of 5 spaces shall be provided (9) Public tennis courts and private tennis clubs, 2 spaces per court, plus 1 space for each 200 square feet of clubhouse floor area in excess of 1,000 square feet (10) Skating rinks: 1 space for each 200 square feet of floor area devoted to the principal activity (11) All others in GLU 65, 1 space per each employee, plus public spaces determined by the use permit conditions
(g) 66 Medical and health services: (1) Medical and dental offices and clinics, 1 space for each 200 square feet floor area, plus 1 space for each employee (2) Laboratories when a primary use: 4 spaces, plus 1 for each 300 square feet in excess of 1,000 square feet (3) All others in GLU 66, 1 space per each 300 square feet of floor area
(h) 67 Professional services, others: Finance, savings and loan institutions, insurance, real estate, and business, professional, and other offices (except those otherwise designated in this section): 0 to 20,000 square feet floor area, 1 space for each 300 square feet floor area, plus 1 space for each 500 square feet floor area in excess of 20,000 square feet
(i) 68 Transient accommodations: Hotels and motels: 5 spaces, plus 1 space for each guest room, plus required spaces for restaurants, retail outlets, and other accessory uses
(j) 69 Commercial vacant and temporary uses and buildings: 1 space per each employee, plus public spaces determined by the use permit conditions
