Article III — Procedures for Designation

General schematic plans for the project site shall be submitted to the planning director of the city for review prior to the submission of an application to the council for its designation as a site for experimental residential housing. (Prior code § 52.03.301)

The general schematic plans shall include an overall site development plan designating the location of proposed land usages, general description of the types and intensities of uses proposed for each parcel, a specific legal description of the land area proposed for each different use, and the proposed traffic circulation system. (Prior code § 52.03.302)

15.120.090 Review of plans.

The planning director shall return such preliminary plans to the applicant with a copy of his or her comments and recommendations which may include the comments and recommendations for other city departments and other public agencies affected by the development. At any time thereafter the applicant may apply to the council for designation of the project site for experimental residential housing. (Prior code § 52.03.303)

Property which complies with the general standards prescribed in Article II of this chapter shall be designated XH residential experimental housing by resolution adopted by the city council. No public hearing before the planning and design commission or the city council shall be required prior to the adoption of the resolution of designation. Upon adoption of the resolution of designation, the zoning maps of the city shall be amended to indicate that the property has been designated "XH experimental residential housing."
