Chapter 9.48 — COSTS OF SUPPORT FOR MINORS IN INSTITUTIONS

9.48.010 - Purpose and intent.

This chapter establishes juvenile support rates and authorizes the probation department to recover fees in the specified amounts from parents or other persons liable for support of a minor placed, detained, or committed to an institution or other place.

9.48.020 - Authority.

The authority for the fees established herein is found in the California Welfare and Institutions Code Section 903.

9.48.030 - Severability.

Should any fee herein established be held to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable such determination shall not affect the validity of the remaining fee provision.
