Chapter 2.30 — OFFICE OF TREASURER-TAX COLLECTOR

2.30.010 - Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to ensure that persons eligible for election or appointment to the office of Riverside County Treasurer and Tax Collector are well qualified and able to fully discharge the duties and responsibilities of the office.

2.30.020 - Authority.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 27000.6, the board of supervisors may enact the provisions of Government Code Sections 27000.7, 27000.8 and 27000.9 prior to the first date of the period for filing declarations of candidacy for the office of county treasurer, county tax collector, or county treasurer-tax collector.

2.30.030 - Enactment of Government Code provisions.

The board of supervisors hereby enacts the provisions of Government Code Sections 27000.7, 27000.8 and 27000.9 as presently enacted or subsequently amended or renumbered.
