Chapter 2.108 — EMPLOYEE SUGGESTION PROGRAM

2.108.010 - Established.

There is authorized and established within the government of the county and special districts governed by the board of supervisors a continuing annual program of cash awards and commendations to employees for submission of specific means of improving operating efficiency, reducing expense or increasing revenue of the county government.

2.108.020 - Suggestion review committee.

The program shall be supervised by a suggestion review committee consisting of one county supervisor, one county department head, and one employee, each to be appointed by the board of supervisors, and the chief administrative officer and personnel director. Committee representation by the chief administrative officer and personnel director may be delegated to subordinate employees.

2.108.030 - Administration.

The program shall be administered by the personnel director, who shall function as secretary of the committee and shall keep the records of the program.

2.108.040 - Procedures and requirements.

The board of supervisors shall by resolution fix the principles and essential procedures and requirements of the program. Subject to the provisions of this chapter, the suggestion review committee shall establish rules for the conduct of the program.
