2.12.010 Bond required.

A. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 36518 of the Government Code of the state pertaining to the fixing of a bond for the city clerk, the city council establishes the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars as the proper penal sum of the bond to be required to be posted by the city clerk, payable to the city before entering upon the duties of the office, the bond to be conditioned upon his well, truly and faithfully performing all official duties required of him by law, and such additional duties as may be imposed upon him by any existing law of the state or any law enacted subsequent to the execution of the bond or by a valid order of the city council. B. The premium or charge for the bond of the city clerk shall be a lawful charge against the city. (Ord. 107 §§ 1, 2, 1957)
