10.44.010 Truck routes — Established —¶
Purposes. A. Whenever any ordinance of the city designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street, the use of which is permitted by any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons, the chief of police is authorized to designate such street or streets by appropriate signs as “Truck Routes,” for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons. B. When any such truck route or routes are established and designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons shall drive on such route or routes and none other, except that nothing in this chapter shall prohibit the operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons coming from a “Truck Route” having ingress and egress by direct route to and from restricted streets when necessary for the purpose of making pickups of deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on such restricted streets, or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alterations, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon such restricted streets for which a building permit has previously been obtained therefor. 10.44.020 Commercial vehicles prohibited from¶
certain streets. Whenever any ordinance of the city designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street, the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle, the chief of police shall erect and maintain appropriate signs on the street affected by such ordinance. (Ord. 335 § 2, 1984)
10.44.030 Exceptions — Buses and public¶
utility vehicles. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to: (a) passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission; or (b) any vehicles owned by a public utility while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility. (Ord. 355 § 3, 1984)
10.44.040 Truck Routes-Designated¶
The streets or portions of streets within the corporate city limits described in this section are defined and established as commercial vehicle and truck routes, and shall be governed by the provisions of this chapter: A. West Ripon Road. West end of city limits to the intersection of Jack Tone Road and West Main/West Ripon Road. B. River Road. Jack Tone Road east to corporate city limits. C. Jack Tone Road. North from intersection of West Main/West Ripon to the corporate city limits. (Ord. 704 § 1, 2004)

10.44.050 Commercial vehicles on private¶
driveways. A. No person shall operate or drive a commercial vehicle in, on or across any private driveway approach or sidewalk area or the driveway itself without the consent of the owner or occupant of the property, of a sign or makings are in place indicating that the use of such driveway is prohibited. B. For the purpose of this section, a commercial vehicle shall mean a vehicle having a rated capacity in excess of one ton. (Ord. 203 § 7.2, 1969 (part); Ord 704 § 2, 2004)
10.44.060 Advertising vehicles.¶
No person shall operate or drive any vehicle used for advertising purposes or any advertising vehicle equipped with a sound-amplifying or loudspeaking devise upon any street or alley at any time within the central traffic district. (Ord. 203 §12, 1969)
