2-2.601 - Office created.

There is hereby created the office of Director of Public Works.

2-2.602 - Duties.

The Director of Public Works shall have all the powers and duties heretofore specified or hereafter specified by law or ordinance of the Council in respect to public works programs of the City, including the supervision of design, construction, and maintenance of public works and the coordination of all public works activities.

2-2.603 - Street Superintendent.

Unless the Council should otherwise by resolution designate, the Director of Public Works shall have all the powers granted by this Code to the Street Superintendent and shall perform all those duties set forth in this Code to be performed by the Street Superintendent.
