6.16.010 - Aiding or participating in lottery.¶
It shall be unlawful for any person in the county of Marin to aid or assist, either by printing, writing, advertising, publishing, circulating, carrying or otherwise, in setting up, managing or drawing up any lottery, or selling or disposing of any ticket, chance or share therein, or to have in his possession any lottery ticket, certificate, paper or instrument purporting to represent or representing or understood to be or to represent, any ticket, chance, share or interest in, or depending upon the event of, any lottery, or any instrument, stamp or device used, or intended to be used, in, or for, contriving, setting up, preparing, making, writing, printing, stamping, or getting ready for sale or distribution, any lottery ticket or tickets, or to become an inmate of, or visitor to, or in any manner contribute to the support of, any office room, or place where any lottery is, or is about to be, contrived, prepared, set up, drawn or sold, or any ticket of such lottery is registered or to knowingly let, or permit to be used, any building, or premises, or portion thereof, knowing that it is to be used or is being used for any one of the purposes in this section declared to be unlawful.

6.16.020 - Penalty for violation.¶
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
