Kern County Municipal Code Art. V Diagonal or Angle Parking

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 22503 of the Vehicle Code, diagonal or angle parking zones are established for the unincorporated areas of the county and at the locations described in this article.

The following diagonal or angle parking zones are established in the Bakersfield area:

1. Both sides of a Niles Street frontage road between Horace Mann Avenue and Crestmont Drive;

2. Both sides of Crestmont Drive between Niles Street and Horace Mann Avenue;

3. The south side of Water Street extending a distance of seventy-five (75) feet easterly from the east end of the curb return at the southeast intersection of Water Street and Alta Vista Drive;

4. The south side of Jeffrey Street extending a distance of sixty-seven (67) feet easterly from the east end of the curb return at the southeast intersection of Jeffrey Street and Alta Vista Drive.

The following angled parking zone is established in the Midway Road area: An angled parking zone along the east side of Midway Road from the curb return at Broadway, thence southerly for three hundred three (303) feet to First Street.

The following diagonal or angle parking zones are established in the Kernville area:

A. On the west side of Piute Drive between Big Blue Road and Tobias Street;

B. On the east side of Piute Drive between Big Blue Road and Tobias Street;

C. On the north side of Tobias Street between Kernville Road and Piute Drive;

D. On the south side of Big Blue Road between Kernville Road and Whitney Road.

The following diagonal or angle parking zones are established in the Mojave area:

A. On the north side of Cerro Gordo Street between Sierra Highway and K Street (approximately three hundred (300) feet);

B. On the south side of Inyo Street between Sierra Highway and K Street (approximately three hundred (300) feet);

C. On the south side of Nadeau Street between K Street and the first alley east of Sierra Highway (approximately one hundred fifty (150) feet);

D. On the north side of Nadeau Street between K Street and the first alley east of K Street (approximately one hundred fifty (150) feet);

E. On the north side of Trinity Street between Sierra Highway and the first alley east of Sierra Highway (approximately one hundred fifty (150) feet).

The following diagonal or angle parking zones are established in the Taft area:

A. Section 24, Township 32 South, Range 23 East (South Taft), as follows:

1. On the north side of Wood Street between a point where said north side intersects with Lierly Avenue and a point one hundred twenty-five (125) feet to the west thereof, along Wood Street;

2. On the south side of Wood Street between a point where said south side intersects with Asher Avenue and a point one hundred twenty-five (125) feet to the east thereof, along Wood Street;

3. On the east side of Asher Avenue between a point where said east side intersects with Wood Street and a point eighty (80) feet to the south thereof, along Asher Avenue;

4. On the east side of Asher Avenue between a point where said east side intersects with Crystal Street and a point two hundred twenty-five (225) feet to the south thereof, along Asher Avenue;

5. On the west side of Asher Avenue between a point where said west side intersects with Crystal Street and a point three hundred fifty (350) feet to the north thereof, along Asher Avenue;

6. On the east side of Asher Avenue between a point where said east side intersects with Crystal Street and a point one hundred (100) feet to the north thereof, along Asher Avenue;

7. On the south side of Wood Street between a point where said south side intersects with Eastern Avenue and a point eighty (80) feet to the east thereof, along Wood Street;

8. On the east side of Eastern Avenue between a point where said east side intersects with Wood Street and a point eighty (80) feet to the south thereof, along Eastern Avenue.

B. Section 12, Township 32 South, Range 23 East (Ford City), as follows:

1. On the south side of Date Street between a point where said south side intersects with Fillmore Street and a point one hundred forty (140) feet to the west thereof, along Date Street;

2. On the west side of Fillmore Street between a point where said west side intersects with Date Street and a point one hundred (100) feet to the south thereof, along Fillmore Street;

3. On the south side of Cedar Street between a point where said south side intersects with Fillmore Street and a point one hundred forty (140) feet to the east thereof, along Cedar Street;

4. On the south side of Elm Street between a point where said south side intersects with Taylor Street and a point one hundred forty (140) feet to the west thereof, along Elm Street;

5. On the west side of Taylor Street beginning at a point where said west side intersects with Elm Street and to the south thereof along Taylor Street to a point where said west side intersects with Date Street;

6. On the south side of Elm Street between a point where said south side intersects with Polk Street and a point one hundred forty (140) feet to the west thereof, along Elm Street;

8. On the east side of Tyler Street between a point where said east side intersects with Date Street and a point two hundred ten (210) feet to the north thereof, along Tyler Street;

11. On the north side of Date Street between a point where said north side intersects with Harrison Street and a point sixty (60) feet to the east thereof, along Date Street;

D. Along east and west sides of Rose Avenue, Taft, California, starting at a point two hundred seventy (270) feet south of South Street and extending for one hundred fifty (150) feet to the south.
