§ 2.31.010 RESERVED.

§ 2.31.020 GROUNDS FOR REFUSING EMPLOYMENT.

The following may be grounds for refusing employment to an applicant:

(A) Knowingly making a false statement of fact required to be revealed on an application form;

(B) Conviction of a crime substantially related to the qualifications, functions or duties of the position applied for; and

(C) Commission of any act involving dishonesty, fraud or deceit with intent to substantially benefit himself or herself or another or substantially injure another.

§ 2.31.030 CONFORMANCE WITH CIVIL RIGHTS ACT.

The city’s hiring practices and promotional practices shall conform to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e et seq.

§ 2.31.040 EVALUATION METHODS TO BE JOB-RELATED.

The city shall not, as a part of its hiring or promotional practices, employ any evaluation methods which are not job-related unless there is no adverse effect.
