10.60.1010 - Five-gross-ton limit—Exception.

A. Except as otherwise provided in this section, no vehicle in excess of five gross tons shall be driven upon any of the following named streets within the city:

  1. Rio Verde Street from Martin Street to the city limits;

  2. Ottilia, Partridge, and Martin Streets from the point of intersection of such streets with Rio Verde Street to Schwerin Street;

  3. Schwerin Street from the point of intersection with Bay Ridge Drive to Geneva Avenue;

  4. On Hillside Boulevard from its point of intersection with Mission Street to the city limits;

  5. Accacia Street, Oriente Street and MacDonald Avenue entire length.

B. This section shall have no application to any commercial vehicles coming from an unrestricted street having ingress and egress by direct route to and from a restricted street designated in this section when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure located upon such restricted street, or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure located upon such restricted street for which a building permit has previously been obtained.

10.60.020 - Three-ton limit—Exception.

A. A three-ton load limit is established on Callan Boulevard, commencing at its intersection with Hickey Boulevard and extending to its intersection with Warwick Street, except that said restriction on commercial vehicles shall not apply to the following:

  1. Commercial vehicles being used for the purpose of making pickups or delivery of wares or merchandise from and to any building located on said street; or

  2. Commercial vehicles being used for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon said street, for which a building permit has previously been obtained; or

  3. Any vehicle owned by a public utility or a licensed contractor while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility.

B. A three-ton load limit is established on Gellert Boulevard, commencing at its intersection with Hickey Boulevard and extending to its intersection with King Drive, except that said restriction on commercial vehicles shall not apply to the following:

  1. Commercial vehicles being used for the purpose of making pickups or delivery of wares or merchandise from and to any building located on said street; or

  2. Commercial vehicles being used for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon said street, for which a building permit has previously been obtained; or

  3. Any vehicle owned by a public utility or a licensed contractor while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility.

10.60.030 - Commercial vehicles on certain city streets prohibited—Exception.

Commercial vehicles are prohibited from proceeding or being driven upon South Mayfair Avenue from its intersection with Poncetta Drive to its intersection with Park Plaza Drive, except that said restriction on commercial vehicles shall not apply to the following:

A. Commercial vehicles being used for the purpose of making pickups or delivery of wares or merchandise from and to any building located on said street; or

B. Commercial vehicles being used for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon said street, for which a building permit has previously been obtained; or

C. Any vehicle owner by a public utility or a licensed contractor while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility.
