10.56.010 - Establishment of loading zones.¶
A. The chief of police is authorized to determine and to mark loading zones at any place in the city.
B. In no event shall more than one-half the total curb length in any block be reserved for loading zone purposes.
C. Loading zones shall be indicated by a yellow paint line stenciled with black letters, "LOADING ZONE," upon the top of all curbs within such zones.
D. Passenger loading zones shall be indicated by a white line stenciled with black letters, "PASSENGER LOADING ZONE" upon the top of all curbs in such zones.

10.56.020 - Use of loading zones—Generally.¶
A. Permission granted under this chapter to stop or stand a vehicle for purposes of loading or unloading of materials shall apply only to commercial vehicles and shall not extend beyond the time necessary therefor, and in no event for more than twenty minutes.
B. The loading or unloading of materials shall apply only to commercial deliveries and the delivery or pickup of express and parcel post packages and United States mail.
C. Permission granted to stop or park for purposes of unloading or loading passengers shall include the loading or unloading of personal baggage but shall not extend beyond the time necessary therefor and in no event for more than three minutes.
D. Within the total time limits above specified the provisions of this section shall be enforced so as to accommodate necessary and reasonable loading or unloading but without permitting abuse of the privileges granted.

10.56.030 - Use of commercial loading zones.¶
No person shall stop, stand or park a commercial vehicle in any yellow loading zone for any purpose other than loading or unloading passengers or material for such time as is permitted in Section 10.56.020.

10.56.040 - Use of passenger loading zones.¶
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in any passenger loading zone for any purpose other than the loading or unloading of passengers for such time as is specified in Section 10.56.020.

10.56.050 - Bus zones.¶
A. The chief of police is authorized to establish bus zones opposite curb space for the loading and unloading of buses of common carriers of passengers and he is further authorized to determine the location thereof subject to the directives and limitations set forth in this section.
B. For the purposes of this section the word "bus" shall mean any motor bus, motor coach, trolley coach or passenger stage used as a common carrier of passengers.
C. No bus zone shall exceed eighty feet in length; except, that when satisfactory evidence has been presented to the chief of police showing the necessity therefor the chief of police may extend bus zones not to exceed a total length of one hundred fifty feet.

10.56.060 - Stands—Establishment.¶
The city council may, by resolution, locate and designate taxicab, bus or rent car stands, which stands when so established shall be appropriately designated, "Taxis Only," or "Rent Cars Only," or "Bus Stop Only," as the case may be.

10.56.070 - Stands—Hours of operation.¶
Taxicab or rent car stands established pursuant to this chapter shall be in operation twenty-four hours of every day. Bus stops shall be in operation during hours determined by the city council.

10.56.080 - Taxicabs and rent cars—Parking and standing.¶
It is unlawful for the owner, driver or operator of any taxicab or rent car to remain parked, while awaiting employment, except in a regularly established taxicab or rent car stand; provided, that taxicabs or rent cars may park in any available parking space when actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers; and that between the hours of ten p.m. and six a.m. of the following day, taxicabs or rent cars may stop, stand or park in any place where the parking of vehicles is otherwise permitted.
