2.32.010 - Establishment.

Pursuant to and in accordance with Section 233 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, there is established in the county a delinquency prevention commission.

2.32.020 - Purpose—Powers and duties.

The purpose of the delinquency prevention commission shall be to cooperate with and assist in coordinating, on a county-wide basis, the governmental and nongovernmental agencies engaged in activities designed to prevent juvenile delinquency; and the delinquency prevention commission shall have all the powers and duties provided by law to accomplish that purpose.

2.32.030 - Membership.

The membership of the juvenile justice commission of the county shall also serve in the capacity of the delinquency prevention commission.

2.32.040 - Staff service.

Departments and agencies of the county may assist the delinquency prevention commission when such assistance is requested and necessary staff and/or equipment can be made available.

2.32.050 - Expenditures.

Each member of the delinquency prevention commission, as a juvenile justice commission member, shall be paid by the county the sum of twenty-five dollars per meeting not exceeding one meeting per month in lieu of actual and necessary expenses for attending monthly meetings. Actual and necessary expenses shall be paid by the county to commission members for out-of-county travel expenses incurred in the performance of their duties pursuant to approved county travel policies and rates.
