§ 2.12.010 MEETINGS.¶
(A) The City Council of the city shall hold regular meetings on the first Tuesday and third Tuesday of each calendar month, at the hour of 7:30 p.m.; provided, however, that whenever such meeting day falls upon a holiday, such meeting shall be held on the first business day thereafter. The City Council may cancel a regularly scheduled meeting.
(B) The City Council may adjourn any regular or adjourned meeting to a date specified in the order of adjournment, and when so adjourned, the adjourned meeting shall be a regular meeting for all purposes.
(C) The place designated for all meetings of the City Council is the Council Chamber of the city, in the City Hall, 415 South Ivy Avenue, Monrovia, California, unless another location is designated by resolution of the Council.

§ 2.12.020 COMMITTEES.¶
The City Council shall, from time to time, establish by resolution such committees among its members as it shall deem advisable for the administration of city business.

§ 2.12.030 COMPENSATION.¶
Pursuant to Cal. Government Code § 36516(a)(2)(b), or any successor statute, the Mayor and each member of the City Council shall receive a salary of $1,359 per month. The salary of the Mayor and members of the City Council may be changed in the manner provided by law, and any change in compensation shall take effect only at the beginning of a new term of office for any member of the City Council, pursuant to Cal. Government Code § 36516.5.

§ 2.12.040 USE OF CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS.¶
The City Council Chambers are reserved for use by the City Council and the official boards and commissions of the city; other government agencies and officials, and nonprofit entities that contract with the city to provide services to the city or its residents may also use the Council Chambers pursuant to reasonable regulations promulgated by the City Clerk.

§ 2.12.050 USE OF CITY HALL MEETING AND CONFERENCE ROOMS.¶
Unless specifically designated in writing by the City Manager for use by members of the public and private organizations, meeting and conference rooms in City Hall are reserved for use by the City Council and the official boards and commissions of the city; other government agencies and officials, and nonprofit entities that contract with the city to provide services to the city or its residents may also use such meeting and conference rooms pursuant to reasonable regulations promulgated by the City Clerk.
