2.20.010 - Office filled by appointment—Statutory authority.¶

By virtue of the authority vested in the board of supervisors by Chapter 1699 of the Statutes of 1953, state of California, the board shall, and does, from the effective date of the ordinance codified in this section, declare the office of county surveyor an office which shall no longer be subject to county election, but shall be an office which shall be filled by appointment only at the discretion of the board of supervisors.
