2.12.010 - Office established—Statutory authority.¶
The office of public defender is established, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 27700 through 27711 of the Government Code of the state.

2.12.020 - Appointment—Term.¶
The public defender shall be appointed by the board of supervisors, and shall serve at the will of the board.

2.12.030 - Powers and duties.¶
The duties of the public defender shall be those as defined in Section 27706 of the Government Code of the state as now in effect, or as may hereafter be amended.
