Chapter 18.54 — R-S RESORT DISTRICT

§ 18.54.010. Intent.

The R-S district is intended to be applied to lands of established resort and tourism oriented development, and to lands which possess unique resources and potential for the development of such uses.

§ 18.54.020. Applicability.

The regulations set out in this chapter shall apply in all R-S districts and shall be subject to the provisions of Chapters 18.102 through 18.108 of this title. (Ord. 467 § 37, 1984)

§ 18.54.030. Uses allowed by right.

Land use in an R-S district is limited to the following:

  • (1) Lodges, motels, hotels, housekeeping rooms, overnight cabins and guest ranches;

  • (2) Small retail stores and convenience stores;

  • (3) Bars, taverns and restaurants;

  • (4) Curio shops;

  • (5) Dancehalls.

§ 18.54.040. Uses allowed by use permit.

Uses allowed by use permit in an R-S district shall be as follows:

  • (1) Sales and service of petroleum products including service stations;

  • (2) Garages for repair of marine-related equipment; provided, that all activities shall be confined within a building;

  • (3) Marine-related equipment rental, service, and sales;

  • (4) Recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds;

  • (5) Residence in conjunction with a business;
