2.20.010 - Bond for clerk and treasurer.¶
Before entering upon the duties of their offices, the city clerk and the city treasurer shall each execute a bond to the city in the penal sum of one hundred thousand dollars.

2.20.020 - Bond to conform to state law.¶
The bonds shall each conform to the provisions of the government code relating to bonds of public officers.

2.20.030 - Cost of bond.¶
The cost of securing such bonds shall be a property charge upon the city of La Mesa.

2.20.040 - Salaries of appointive officers.¶
All appointive officers and employees of the city of La Mesa, serving at the pleasure of the city council, shall receive such compensation for their services as the council may fix by resolution or in the annual budget. Upon the appointment of any such officer or employee, his compensation shall be fixed and the same may be changed from time to time thereafter in the discretion of the council.

2.20.050 - Duties of appointive officers.¶
In addition to any duties that may be required by law, appointive officers shall perform such other duties as may be required from time to time by the council.
