Kern County Municipal Code Art. X Other Areas—Use Fees

Fees for the use of the recreation area shall be established by uncodified ordinance.

A. The fees provided in this article shall be paid in full by each person when entering the recreation area for the entire period which such person intends to use the recreation area and for all uses and activities in which he or she intends to engage.

B. Each person shall pay the fees provided in this article before engaging in any activity or use in the recreation area, except as paid at time of entry.

C. Such fees shall be paid at the entrance station or other designated office. Authorized officers may also collect such fees.

D. It constitutes a misdemeanor to enter the recreation area without first paying the fees required to be paid by this article.

E. It constitutes a misdemeanor to engage in activity in or use of the recreation area for which a fee is required to be paid by this article without first paying such fee.

A. The director and authorized officers designated by him shall collect the fees provided in this article, and shall issue receipts therefor.

B. In case of any ambiguity in the fee schedule herein, the director shall give the same a reasonable construction and application, in which case the amount of fees determined by the director shall be paid.
