Kern County Municipal Code Ch. 13.56 Urban Areas

"Urban areas" consist of those portions of the unincorporated area of the county which are closely built up and largely given to business and residential use and that are adjacent to such built-up areas which are potential business or residential area and whose inclusion is reasonably necessary to preserve the character and stability of the existing built-up areas, in all of which areas it is feasible, practicable and necessary to provide uniform health, sanitation and safety ordinances and regulations which are not adaptable to sparsely populated and rural areas. Those portions of the unincorporated area of the county described and set out in this chapter constitute "urban areas" within the meaning of this section and are established as "urban areas."

The boundary of the Arvin urban area is described as follows:
