10.76.010 - Violations.

Except as otherwise set forth under federal, state or local law, any violation of any provision of this title shall be a misdemeanor punishable as set forth in Chapter 1.08 of this code, except that any violation of any provision relating to parking or standing of a vehicle under state or local law shall be an infraction and not a misdemeanor and shall instead be subject to the penalties set forth in the applicable bail schedule established by the superior and municipal courts of San Mateo County or as set forth in Section 10.76.030.

10.76.020 - Obstruction, interference with police.

No person shall interfere with or obstruct in any way any police officer or other officer or employee of this town in the enforcement of the provisions of this title. The removal, obliteration or concealment of any chalk mark or other distinguishing mark used by any police officer or other employee or officer of this town in connection with the enforcement of the parking regulations of this title shall, if done for the purpose of evading the provisions of this title, constitute such interference or obstruction.

10.76.030 - Violation—Parking and standing penalties.

Except as may otherwise be punishable by the laws of California or the town, any person, firm or corporation, whether as a principal, agent, employee or otherwise, violating or causing the violation of any of the following provisions of the San Mateo County Ordinances (CO), the Uniform Fire Code (UFC), and the Hillsborough Municipal Code (HMC) shall be subject to the penalties as provided below:

All of the above fines shall be increased by forty-two dollars if not paid within twenty-one days after issuance of the citation.
