10.40.010 - Zone—Defined.¶
Loading zones, as used in this chapter are those areas adjacent to the curb, not more than sixty feet in length, located adjacent to markings or between approved permanent or portable signs in front of or adjacent to, and within the projected real property boundaries of any private residence, club, or place of public gathering. Said signs shall be provided by the owner for which they are used and shall be approved by the traffic engineer.

10.40.020 - Prohibited use designated.¶
No operator of any vehicle shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle in any loading zone, when approved markings or signs are in place, for any period of time longer than is necessary for the loading or unloading of passengers and/or goods, and not to exceed five minutes.

10.40.030 - Designation, marking—Authority.¶
The traffic engineer is authorized to determine and to mark loading zones and passenger loading zones as set forth in this chapter.

10.40.040 - Marking—Generally.¶
Loading zones shall be indicated by yellow paint upon the top of all curbs within such zones, or by appropriate signs.

10.40.050 - Marking—Passenger loading.¶
A. Passenger loading zones shall be indicated by white paint upon the top of all curbs in said zones, or by appropriate signs.
B. Temporary passenger loading zones may be established by the traffic engineer and may be marked by portable signs.

10.40.060 - Bicycle parking.¶
Special bicycle parking zones may be established by the traffic engineer if he determines that the establishment of a bicycle parking zone is reasonably necessary or desirable for the regulation of traffic or to provide facilities for the temporary parking of bicycles being operated upon public streets. When a bicycle parking zone is so established, the traffic engineer shall cause appropriate signs to be posted giving notice that parking of other vehicles is prohibited. No person shall stop, stand or park any other vehicle in front of such zone while such signs are in place.
